UNISON West Sussex Branch Secretary Dan Sartin was interviewed for the BBC’s ‘Sunday Politics’ show on Sunday 13th July. The topic for discussion was Thursday’s public sector strikes, and other panellists were Steve Brine, Tory MP for Winchester, and Layla Moran, Lib Dem prospective parliamentary candidate for Oxford West and Abingdon constituency.

The Branch secured great coverage across West Sussex newspapers of the strike, and also for our press release issued on the WSCC management restructure. Redundancies in the senior management structure at WSCC were widely and inaccurately reported by both print and broadcast media after a misleading press release was issued by the WSCC Communications department, for which no correction or apology was issued.
