We’d like to encourage you – our members – to make full use of the UNISON West Sussex Facebook page. Feel free to start debates on any political or union-related activities that concern you. For example, it could be a reaction to:
- contributions made by panelists on BBC’s ‘Question Time’ or ‘Any Questions’;
- an article you read in your daily newspaper or news website; or
- decisions made in your local workplace having an impact on yours and your colleagues’ work.
The West Sussex Facebook site is a ‘closed group’ for Branch members only. This means your application for membership of the group must be approved by the Branch office. Only members of the group can view the posts on it.
We believe that by managing it in this way, it’s a much ‘safer’ environment for our members. We can direct information straight to you and remind you of key event dates, new discussions and more general union activity. And we expect the usual norms of decency to be applied to any post!
