NJC consultative ballot: branch result

UNISON branches up and down the country have been conducting consultative pay ballots to see what members on NJC pay think about the employers’ offer. This could be a prelude to a formal postal ballot for industrial action.

UNISON West Sussex has now concluded its consultative ballot, and the results are:

REJECT: 55%
ACCEPT: 45%

Thanks go to Branch members for participating in the vote. This result was achieved on the highest ever turnout the branch has had so we are pleased with this increasing level of engagement of members.

The UNISON NJC Committee met on 16th March to consider the aggregate results and next steps in the pay dispute. It has decided to consult branches (not members this time), and the branch will need to respond to the NJC Committee by 5th April.

We will keep you posted.
