UNISON members who choose to pay into the Affiliated Political Fund (APF, or ‘Labour Link’) should by now have had their ballot paper for an important election to:
The Labour Link National Committee
The election is open from 9th August to 15th September. If you have not had your ballot paper yet, please contact UNISONdirect on 0800 0 857 857.
The Labour Link National Committee is the key body which oversees UNISON’s relationship to the Labour Party. It sends delegates to the Labour Party National Executive Committee (NEC).
The West Sussex Branch Committee is backing its Branch Secretary Dan Sartin for the South East seat. Dan received nominations from the following South East branches:
- Brighton & Hove
- Chichester District
- University of Brighton
- West Sussex
The West Sussex Branch Committee is urging a vote for Dan because:

Dan will be a strong voice for the South East to ensure UNISON defends the transformative policies and leadership of the Labour Party.
- Dan is active within his own Constituency Labour Party of Worthing West and regularly campaigned in Brighton Kemptown during the general election where Labour won a target seat with a 10,000 majority.
