Branch Secretary Dan Sartin was interviewed for the programme. Dan spoke about the very high staff turnover at Capita. 40% of the staff who were TUPE’d by the Council to Capita in October 2012 have since left – which is far in excess of normal turnover rates. That turnover rate also excludes Capita staff who have been directly employed by the firm and have also left.

Dan reiterated the union’s commitment to work with both the Council and Capita to make material changes to the contract during its Reset phase to improve the situation, both for Capita staff and staff from a range of West Sussex employers who use Capita’s support services.
