Social Work Action Network conference: Saturday 6th April

This year’s Social Work Action Network (SWAN) conference takes place at Liverpool Hope University on Saturday 6th April 2019. The conference is packed with high profile speakers representing local campaign groups, families and individuals working with social workers, professionals and academics from across the social work world. Themes include the violence of austerity, and challenging racism, sexism and transphobia. Streamed sessions will feature panels on radical approaches in children’s services, fostering and adoption, adults’ services, mental health, prisons, service users’ movements and more besides. UNISON will have a speaker and stall at the conference.
