NJC Pay Offer 2021-22

UNISON has launched a consultation for members working in schools and councils to decide whether to accept or reject your pay offer for 2021.

Despite your courage and sacrifice throughout COVID-19, virtually all council and school workers have only been offered 1.75%. With inflation at 3.90%, that’s a real terms pay cut. The value of local government pay has fallen by a quarter since 2010.

UNISON is clear – council and school workers deserve a fair and proper pay rise.

We strongly recommend members vote to reject this unfair offer.

Consultative ballot

There will be a consultative ballot on the pay offer and where possible, we will run this an electronic ballot by sending a unique link to each member for whom we have an email address recorded.

If we do not already hold your email address, please add this information to your record by emailing the branch office at office.unison@westsussex.gov.uk.

The e-ballot will be issued shortly with a deadline to respond of 24th September.
