Helpline open if you need a ballot paper

Have you voted yet?

The UNISON general secretary election must be conducted by a postal ballot to your home address because that’s how the law says trade unions must conduct elections for general secretary positions. You will not get an online vote! Use the pre-paid return-addressed envelope that came with your ballot paper. For votes to be counted they must arrive back for 5pm on Friday 27th November.

What do I do if I don’t have a ballot paper?

If you’ve lost your ballot paper, or if you didn’t get one in the post, you can call UNISON’s ballot helpline free on 0800 0 857 857. The helpline is now open but closes at 12noon on Friday 20th November. That is the last time by which you can request a replacement ballot paper.

I don’t have a ballot paper because I moved house!

If you moved house and didn’t inform UNISON of your change of address, call 0800 0 857 857 before 12noon on Friday 20th November and request a new ballot paper is sent to your correct address! Because issuing 1.3million ballot papers is a major logistical exercise, the snapshot of addresses was taken at some point in September, so even if you did advise the branch of a new address recently the ballot paper may have gone to your old address. If you haven’t had your ballot paper, call the helpline!
