Thanks go to UNISON West Sussex pickets and our striking members who joined over a million public sector colleagues on July 10. It was a fantastic sunny day to have a strike, and our pickets had a lot of fun. Support from the public was tremendous.
We await a substantially improved offer from the employers, or will prepare for further action in September. UNISON has just announced it will ballot its members in a number of Academy chains so they can join the September action. Ballots are expected in the health sector as well.
We feature below some pictures from the day.
