NEC elections lead to key appointments

Following successful UNISON NEC elections which led to three West Sussex branch members taking up office, further elections within the NEC to UNISON’s important system of sub-committees have now taken place. Branch Secretary Dan Sartin has been elected chair of the union’s Finance & Resource Management Committee.

Dan said, “I am delighted to have been elected Chair of UNISON’s Finance & Resource Management Committee, alongside Vice-Chair Diana Leach from the Brighton branch.”

“How we utilise UNISON’s resources and our members’ hard-earned subscriptions, which were over £170million in 2020, is going to be a key part of transforming our union. I am pleased therefore to be able to play a role in this work.”

In addition, Branch Young Members Officer Kiera Hilder will serve on the Policy Development and Campaigns Committee, and Capita workplace rep Abi Holdsworth will remain a member of the Services to Members Committee.

If you have any questions for your NEC reps, please do not hesitate to get in touch via the branch office.
