There has rightly been a lot of focus on cuts to housing and homelessness support grants in West Sussex recently, but there are also changes planned as part of the same package of proposals that will hit another vulnerable group of West Sussex residents.
See below a letter from Aldingbourne Trust and other learning disability service providers which will be sent to Amanda Jupp, Cabinet Member at WSCC, regarding the County Council’s proposal to charge an additional £5.28 per week to working age disabled people who receive social care support.
This letter will be sent as part of the public consultation which is due to end on the 3rd December. The letter usefully outlines how the charges will impact on a group of vulnerable people already on very low fixed weekly incomes.
