The UNISON West Sussex Branch Committee nominated Deborah (Joy) Taylor from Hampshire County UNISON Branch for this role. Some of the reasons we nominated her are outlined below.
Deborah (Joy) Taylor
- Supports the call for a special UNISON conference on the crisis in health and social care;
- Puts members first. For UNISON to use our power to organise and support our members;
- Opposes outsourcing and privatisation. Bringing public sector jobs back in-house;
- Wants coordinated national action to deliver fair pay for all and a minimum wage of £10ph.
Joy is a social worker and wants to see decent public services that are publicly funded and democratically controlled. She works tirelessly on behalf of her members and is not afraid to speak out.
